GBP/USD chart on the hourly time frame

The pair trades near 1.3386, following a corrective decline from last week’s highs.
The chart shows a short-term bearish bias while the price remains above the main ascending trendline.

The MACD indicator is in the negative zone, signaling weak bullish momentum and a potential continuation of the correction.

Short- and medium-term moving averages are also turning lower, reinforcing the short-term bearish pressure.

Support: 1.3340 – 1.3280
Resistance: 1.3450 – 1.3490

  • Technical Reason: Selling pressure driven by fading momentum and renewed USD strength.
  • Outlook: Sideways to mildly bearish trading expected unless the 1.3450 resistance is broken decisively.

The euro trades around 1.1632, rebounding earlier from support at 1.1560.

The price moves within a short-term ascending channel but faces resistance from the descending trendline near 1.1720.

The MACD remains in negative territory, indicating fading strength in the recent upward correction.

Support: 1.1600 – 1.1560
Resistance: 1.1670 – 1.1720

  • Technical Reason: Limited movement as market forces balance between a strong dollar and profit-taking on the greenback.
  • Outlook: Sideways with a slight bearish bias unless 1.1670 is broken with strong momentum.

USDJPY chart on the hourly time frame

USDJPY chart on the hourly time frame

The pair trades at 151.32, near monthly highs.

The overall trend remains bullish, supported by the wide interest rate gap between the U.S. and Japan.

The MACD is in the positive zone but shows signs of overbought conditions on short-term charts.

Support: 150.80 – 150.20
Resistance: 151.70 – 152.10

  • Technical Reason: Ongoing dollar strength backed by Federal Reserve policy versus the Bank of Japan’s dovish stance.
  • Outlook: Bullish trend likely to continue unless 150.80 support is broken.
