GBP/USD chart on the hourly time frame

As we mentioned in our Friday analysis, a close above 1.3500 is a signal to reach 1.3600, and the target has indeed been achieved.

• The price is currently trading around 1.3546 after a rebound from strong resistance at 1.3628.
• Strong support is present at 1.3480 (ascending trend line + horizontal support).
• MACD shows bearish momentum that has begun to decline, but remains below zero.

Expected scenario:

• If the 1.3480 support holds, we may witness an upward rebound towards 1.3600.
• A break of the aforementioned support could open the way for further declines to 1.3430.
   

USD/JPY chart on the hourly time frame

• The price is moving within an ascending channel, trading at 1.1535 after a pullback from the resistance at 1.1625.
• Important support is at 1.1500, overlapping with the rising trend line.
• MACD is clearly declining after a positive peak, reflecting weak upward momentum.

Expected Scenario:

• A possible rebound from 1.1500 towards 1.1580 - 1.1600.
• A break of both support and the trend could push the price towards 1.1450.
