Current trend: Sideways bearish.

  • The price is moving towards the lower boundary of the ascending channel.
  • The MACD indicator shows weak selling momentum and the beginning of a rebound.

Expectation:

  • As long as the price maintains the support at 1.1710, a further upward move towards 1.1800 is possible.
  • A break of the lower support could open the way for a decline to 1.1660.
USDJPY chart on the hourly time frame

USDJPY chart on the hourly time frame

The first positive target we mentioned in our report last week at 144.80 has been achieved.

General trend: Upward in the medium term, currently a sideways correction.

  • The price is moving within a consolidation range above the support at 144.60.
  • It has not broken any significant support yet, and the momentum indicator indicates weak selling.

Prediction:

  • Stabilization above 144.60 maintains the possibility of an upside move towards 145.60.
  • A break of 144.60 will push the pair to test 143.80 and possibly 143.20
